ree

Federal, state and territory governments have all committed to ending gender-based violence within one generation, and since the pledge was made a lot of the attention has been on supporting victim-survivors, and intervening earlier to stop perpetrators.

But advocates say one group that needs more attention is the children growing up in households where gender-based violence is occurring: according to one researcher, as many as one in two Australian children is growing up in a home where there's some form of family violence.

MANAGEMENT& MEDIA

I acknowledge the Traditional owners of the lands on which I work and live. I pay my respects to Elders past and present, and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders as the first people. They have never ceded sovereignty, and remain strong in their enduring connection to land, water and culture.
